Where to stay near the CN Tower and Rogers Centre

Stay in South Core if you want one walkable base for both the CN Tower and Rogers Centre. From York at 12 and 14 York Street, budget 10 to 15 minutes door to entrance, then keep Union Station and Scotiabank Arena on the same side of downtown.
That is the best all-round answer. It does not suit the visitor whose first priority is King Street West nightlife or the shortest possible walk to a Rogers Centre gate. The Entertainment District fits that trip better.

Why is South Core the best all-round base?
The route is simple. Leave York at 12 and 14 York Street, join Bremner Boulevard and walk west past Lower Simcoe Street. Roundhouse Park, Steam Whistle Brewing, the CN Tower and Rogers Centre arrive in that order.
The CN Tower's official entrance is 290 Bremner Boulevard, between Rogers Centre and Ripley's Aquarium of Canada. That matters. A map pin at the middle of the tower is not the door you use.
Rogers Centre uses One Blue Jays Way as its address, but its gates wrap a stadium-sized block. The Blue Jays' official guide directs people arriving through the SkyWalk between the CN Tower and Ripley's, then west toward the Gate 5 and 6 side.
Our own live CN Tower page calls the tower an eight-minute walk and Rogers Centre a 12-minute walk from York. For trip planning, use 10 to 15 minutes. A condo elevator, the Lower Simcoe crossing and the gate on your ticket are part of the walk, even when a map does not count them.
This is also the least fussy arrival. Union Station sits behind you. The CN Tower's own directions send TTC, GO Transit and UP Express passengers to Union, then west on Bremner Boulevard or through the SkyWalk.
Can you see the CN Tower from this suite?
In one real York one-bedroom, yes. The lead photograph above shows the CN Tower and the Rogers Centre dome through one of the suite's window walls. The living-room photograph below comes from the same suite.

The photographs prove two separate things about this York one-bedroom: it has the landmark view shown above, and it has the living room shown here. They do not establish what is visible from the couch.
Use this question on any listing, including ours: Is the view shown from the exact unit I am booking, or from another suite in the building? A skyline photo proves a camera angle. It does not prove your reservation has it.
How do South Core, CityPlace and the Entertainment District compare?
All three areas sit on the same downtown cluster. They approach it from different sides.
- South Core, York. Budget 10 to 15 minutes door to entrance; the live page lists 8 minutes to the CN Tower and 12 to Rogers Centre. Best for one base for the tower, stadium, Union Station and Scotiabank Arena. Trade-off: South Core quiets sooner than King Street West.
- CityPlace, Parade. About 10 minutes to Rogers Centre and 12 to 15 minutes to the CN Tower from the CityPlace side. Best for a west-side stadium walk, Canoe Landing Park and a calmer return after an event. Trade-off: Union Station is farther east.
- Entertainment District, Atmos. Use about 15 minutes as the district-level planning number; the exact Atmos addresses at 300 Front Street West and 20 John Street sit closer to the stadium side than the broad neighbourhood label suggests. Best for Rogers Centre, theatres, restaurants and King Street West after dark. Trade-off: Front and John collect the event crowd.
Pick South Core for the complete first-time visit
South Core wins when the CN Tower is one stop in a larger trip. Ripley's Aquarium, Roundhouse Park, the waterfront, Union Station and Scotiabank Arena remain on foot. The return from the tower is one straight eastbound line on Bremner.
This is why the CN Tower and South Core stay page is the money page for this guide. It answers the whole stay question, not just the shortest stadium approach.
Pick CityPlace for Rogers Centre and a quieter west side
Parade in CityPlace spans addresses on Iceboat Terrace, Dan Leckie Way and Capreol Court. The CityPlace guide puts Rogers Centre at about 10 minutes and the CN Tower at 12 to 15 minutes.
The useful part comes after the event. Walk west toward Spadina Avenue and Canoe Landing Park while the largest crowd moves east toward Union. Choose CityPlace when a game or concert is the anchor and a park-side neighbourhood matters more than the fastest airport or rail connection.
Pick the Entertainment District for the night after
Atmos at 300 Front Street West and 20 John Street sits on the north side of the landmark cluster. The Entertainment District guide covers the theatres, restaurants and King Street West side of the choice.
Use the exact address, not the neighbourhood name, when you test a walk. "Entertainment District" stretches far enough to make a single minute claim useless. Budget about 15 minutes at district level, then replace that number with the route from the actual door.
What should you skip?
Skip any listing that says "steps from the CN Tower" but hides the street address. Put the exact door into the map and route it to 290 Bremner Boulevard, not to the middle of the tower icon.
Skip a rideshare for the last kilometre on a game or concert night. Bremner Boulevard and the pavements around Rogers Centre carry the same crowd. A 10-minute walk is the simpler plan.
Also skip Downtown East for this specific job. It works for the Eaton Centre, the Garden District and TMU. It is not the base to choose when the CN Tower and Rogers Centre are the two fixed points.

Before you go
- Confirm the entrance for the attraction or the gate on the event ticket. The landmark address is not always the final door.
- Use 10 to 15 minutes as the South Core planning band. Weather, crowds, mobility and condo elevator time change the door-to-entrance result.
- Confirm the exact suite before treating a CN Tower view as part of the booking. The two photographs in this guide document one real York one-bedroom.
- Recheck the official CN Tower and Rogers Centre pages before travel for entrance, access or event-day changes.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best area to stay near both the CN Tower and Rogers Centre?
South Core is the best all-round base. York at 12 and 14 York Street gives you a direct walk west along Bremner Boulevard, with Union Station, Scotiabank Arena and the waterfront close on the other side.
How long is the walk from South Core to the CN Tower?
Budget 10 to 15 minutes door to entrance. StayToronto's live CN Tower page lists eight minutes to the tower and 12 minutes to Rogers Centre, but the planning band includes the condo elevator, street crossings and the correct entrance.
Is CityPlace walkable to Rogers Centre?
Yes. StayToronto's CityPlace page lists Rogers Centre at about a 10-minute walk and the CN Tower at 12 to 15 minutes. It is the better west-side choice for a calmer return after a stadium event.
Can I see the CN Tower from a StayToronto suite?
Some upper-floor York suites have CN Tower views. The photographs in this guide show one real York one-bedroom and its living room. Confirm the exact suite instead of assuming every unit has the same outlook.
Should I stay in the Entertainment District or South Core?
Choose the Entertainment District for theatres, restaurants and King Street West after the event. Choose South Core for the better all-round mix of the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Union Station, Scotiabank Arena and the waterfront.
