Where to stay near Rogers Centre Toronto: the Blue Jays walkable guide for 2026

The best StayToronto base for a Blue Jays game is York at 12 and 14 York Street. The walk to Rogers Centre takes 10 to 12 minutes along Bremner Boulevard, and the return uses the same street eastbound.

Atmos is closer. Parade is a calm westbound walk. Jarvis is not a gameday walk we recommend for young children, anyone carrying a bag, or anyone who finds a 30-minute summer walk tiring.

Which Blue Jays games are at Rogers Centre in August 2026?

Rogers Centre is at 1 Blue Jays Way, south of Front Street West, north of Bremner Boulevard and beside the CN Tower. These seven 2026 home games are ticketed. The official Blue Jays schedule lists the following first-pitch times in Eastern Time:

• Monday 10 August: Boston Red Sox, 7:07 p.m.
• Tuesday 11 August: Boston Red Sox, 7:07 p.m.
• Wednesday 12 August: Boston Red Sox, 7:07 p.m.
• Thursday 13 August: Boston Red Sox, 3:07 p.m.
• Friday 14 August: New York Yankees, 7:15 p.m.
• Saturday 15 August: New York Yankees, 3:07 p.m.
• Sunday 16 August: New York Yankees, 1:37 p.m.

The official information guide says gates open 90 minutes before weekday games and two hours before Saturday and Sunday games. A baseball game has no fixed finish time. Build the walk around first pitch, not a guessed final out.

What is the real walk from each StayToronto building?

The gate beside your route is an aim point, not an entry assignment. The Blue Jays' current entry guide says fans can use any open main gate except designated entrances, and the ticket app recommends the closest entrance for each seat.

• York, 12 and 14 York Street: west on Bremner past Lower Simcoe Street and the Roundhouse, 10 to 12 minutes, aiming for the Gate 7 side at the southeast corner on Bremner.
• Atmos, 300 Front Street West and 20 John Street: south on John Street toward the pedestrian bridge, 3 to 5 minutes, aiming for the Gate 3 side at the northeast corner via the John Street Bridge.
• Parade, 15 Iceboat Terrace: east on Fort York Boulevard, across Spadina Avenue, then along Bremner, 10 to 12 minutes, aiming for the Gate 9 side at the southwest corner on Bremner.
• Jarvis, 251 Jarvis Street: west and south through the core to Front Street, then west to John, 28 to 32 minutes, aiming for the Gate 3 side.

These are normal walking ranges from the real building addresses. A recommended gate on the other side of the stadium adds a final loop.

York: the best balance on a game night

York is our pick because the route is simple in both directions. Walk west on Bremner, pass Lower Simcoe Street and the Roundhouse, then keep the CN Tower on your right as Rogers Centre fills the block ahead.

After the game, reverse the route and keep moving east. The first stretch east on Bremner is busy, but the crowd thins after Lower Simcoe. York also keeps the rest of the stay in South Core and the Financial District, with the CN Tower area on the same walking map.

York does not suit the guest whose first priority is stepping straight into King Street West after the game. Atmos is better for that trip.

Atmos: the shortest walk, not the cleanest exit

Atmos furnished suites sit north of the stadium at 300 Front Street West and 20 John Street. Walk south on John toward the pedestrian bridge and the Gate 3 side. This is the shortest route in the StayToronto set.

The trade-off appears after the final out. Front and John collect fans moving toward King Street, St Andrew Station and the Entertainment District. Do not follow the crowd south to Bremner and then circle back. Head north on John as soon as the open exit allows it. The Entertainment District guide covers the neighbourhood beyond the game.

Parade: leave west while most visitors turn east

Parade furnished suites start at 15 Iceboat Terrace. Walk east on Fort York Boulevard. Cross Spadina Avenue, continue on Bremner and aim for the Gate 9 side.

The return is the useful part. Keep west on Bremner, cross Spadina and let the Union-bound crowd go the other way. This is not the shortest StayToronto route, but it has the clearest westbound exit from the stadium crush. Parade works for a guest who wants a CityPlace base rather than King Street nightlife.

Jarvis: walkable on a map, wrong for this job

Jarvis at 251 Jarvis Street is 28 to 32 minutes away on foot before any crowd delay. A fit adult with no bag can walk it. A family with young children, a guest with limited mobility, or anyone crossing downtown in August heat should not.

Use Line 1 between Dundas and Union, then follow the official Front Street or SkyWalk approach. No TTC diversion is built into the walking estimates in this guide.

Which Rogers Centre gate should you use?

Open the ticket in the MLB Ballpark app, Blue Jays Account Manager or Ticketmaster app and use the recommended entrance. Screenshots and paper or PDF tickets are not accepted because the barcode rotates.

The gate landmarks in the route list come from the official Rogers Centre accessibility guide:

• Gate 7 is at the southeast corner on Bremner Boulevard. It is the designated accessible entrance.
• Gate 9 is at the southwest corner on Bremner Boulevard.
• Gate 3 is at the northeast corner via the John Street Bridge from Front Street. It is pedestrian access only.
• Gate 13 is at the northwest corner via the incline from Blue Jays Way. It is pedestrian access only.

Do not choose a gate only because it faces the suite. Get to the correct side of the building, then follow the recommendation tied to the ticket.

What should you leave in the suite?

Leave the bag. The official Rogers Centre information guide discourages bags, inspects every bag and provides no bag storage. A permitted soft-sided bag must be smaller than 16 by 16 by 8 inches. Hard-sided coolers are not allowed.

This is the portable gameday rule: phone, live ticket, payment card, keys. Every extra item creates another decision at security.

Where should you eat before the game?

Eat on your walking line, not on the far side of the stadium. These three places sit beside the York, Atmos and Parade approaches.

• WVRST Union Station, York Street Promenade, 65 Front Street West. $13.50 to $27 for sausages, sandwiches and mains. It is the practical York stop before walking west. The Union location closes at 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 8 p.m. Sunday, so do not save it for after a night game.
• Milagro Cantina, 5 Mercer Street. Most individual mains are $22 to $32. It sits one block north of Front near John, which keeps an Atmos dinner on the correct side of the stadium.
• Hunters Landing, 82 Fort York Boulevard. Pizzas and handhelds are $21 to $27, with larger mains up to $53. It is on the Parade route, close to the suite rather than the entry queue.

All prices are Canadian dollars before tax and tip.

How do you beat the post-game exit crush?

Pick a direction before the last out. York goes east. Atmos goes north. Parade goes west. That one choice matters more than the shortest distance on the booking map.

Skip the rideshare trap. Do not stand on Bremner Boulevard opening and closing an app while the road is restricted and the pavement is full. The Blue Jays' game-day guide warns of road closures around the ballpark. Walk one full block in your building's direction before deciding whether a car is still necessary.

This is the part most accommodation guides miss: Atmos is the closest building, but York and Parade give you cleaner escape directions after the game. Nearest is not always fastest once the dome empties.

Where does the night go after the game?

York is the straight-home choice. South Core quiets faster than the stadium block, and WVRST is not a dependable post-night-game stop because of its closing time.

Atmos leads north to King Street West. Fox on John at 106 John Street is a restaurant and bar on that line. Parade leads west past Hunters Landing at 82 Fort York Boulevard. Neither place requires a Blue Jays ticket, although food, drinks and any venue cover are separate purchases.

Jarvis is not our walk-home recommendation. Return through Union and Dundas instead of turning a long stadium exit into a cross-downtown hike.
