The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair runs November 6 to 15, 2026 at Exhibition Place, with the main fair at Enercare Centre, 100 Princes' Boulevard: from downtown, take the 509 Harbourfront streetcar from Union Station to Exhibition. If you want the Royal Horse Show too, buy that session's ticket first; it includes admission to the fair on the same day.
Our pick is a weekday afternoon followed by a 7 p.m. Horse Show, from Tuesday, November 10 through Friday, November 13. Do the fair first, then take your seat at Coca-Cola Coliseum. Monday does not work for that plan: there is no Horse Show session on November 9.
Which day and session should you choose?
This is the 104th Royal. Put the fair's closing time and your Horse Show start time side by side before choosing a date. They are different clocks: a 7 p.m. performance is not an instruction to arrive at the fair at 7 p.m.
- Opening night: Fri Nov 6, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Horse Show: 7 p.m. Ticket: That evening's Horse Show ticket, including the fair.
- First Saturday: Sat Nov 7, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Horse Show: 1:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. Ticket: Choose one Horse Show session, or general admission for the fair alone.
- Family Day matinee: Sun Nov 8, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Horse Show: 1:30 p.m. Ticket: Family Day Horse Show ticket, including the fair.
- Fair without an evening show: Mon Nov 9, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Horse Show: No session. Ticket: General admission; GO + Fair combo if arriving on GO.
- Our weekday plan: Tue Nov 10 or Wed Nov 11, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Horse Show: 7 p.m. Ticket: That date's Horse Show ticket, including the fair.
- Big Ben competition: Thu Nov 12, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Horse Show: 7 p.m. Ticket: Big Ben 5* International Challenge session.
- Friday afternoon into evening: Fri Nov 13, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Horse Show: 7 p.m. Ticket: That evening's Horse Show ticket, including the fair.
- Second Saturday matinee: Sat Nov 14, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Horse Show: 1 p.m. Ticket: Matinee ticket, including the fair.
- World Cup night: Sat Nov 14, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Horse Show: 7 p.m. Ticket: Longines FEI World Cup session.
- Western Sunday: Sun Nov 15, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Horse Show: Noon Rodeo Qualifier or 3 p.m. Royal Rodeo Finals. Ticket: Ticket for the selected rodeo session.
The Royal's visitor page supplies the weekday opening pattern; the 2026 Horse Show listings supply the sessions. Sundays and Monday close at 6 p.m.; the other days close at 8 p.m. Do not copy the old November date numbers still embedded in the visitor FAQ.
For a barns-first visit, skip making Saturday, November 14 evening your target. That is World Cup night, a reason to choose a particular performance, not a reason to buy a seat you do not want. Choose a fair-only visit instead.
Which ticket pays for what?
Fair only: general admission is sold through Tixr, linked from the official visitor page. Admission covers one day, with a stamp for same-day re-entry. This is a ticketed fair, not a free walk-in market.
Fair plus a seated Horse Show: use the Ticketmaster link beside your chosen session on the Royal Horse Show page. The same-day fair admission is already included. The November 8 matinee advertises tickets from CA$45 plus taxes and fees when bought at the primary box office in Coca-Cola Coliseum. That is a specific matinee offer, not a starting price for every session.
Arriving by GO for the fair: the GO + Royal combo costs CA$47.48 for an adult aged 18 to 64, or CA$103.02 for two adults aged 18 to 64 and two youth aged 4 to 17. Taxes and fees are included, along with general admission and a return trip from any GO station to Exhibition. Use GO's 2026 prices, not the lower figures still on the fair's directions page.
The GO combo is a fair-and-train purchase. It does not supply a reserved Horse Show seat. If the show is the point of your trip, start with its ticket and arrange the train separately, rather than paying for fair admission twice.
How do you get to Exhibition Place without a car?
From Union Station, follow the signs to the southbound streetcar platform and take 509 Harbourfront towards Exhibition. From the Bloor subway, use 511 Bathurst south from Bathurst Station, or 29 Dufferin south from Dufferin Station. These are the routes in the fair's own directions.
An adult TTC fare is CA$3.30 with PRESTO, debit or credit, or CA$3.35 cash; our one-fare Toronto guide explains transfers, with current prices listed by the TTC.
For a regional trip, take GO's Lakeshore West line to Exhibition GO. It puts the arrival decision at Exhibition rather than at a downtown parking garage. The fair describes trains as approximately every 30 minutes.
The Royal uses Enercare Centre and Coca-Cola Coliseum within Exhibition Place. Princes' Boulevard is the main venue address. From the east, the fair's directions take you up Strachan Avenue and in via Manitoba Drive, just north of the Princes' Gates. For the wider grounds, our Exhibition Place guide written for the CNE supplies context. Its summer fair gates and food programme do not govern the Royal.
Skip driving in at 6 p.m. on a Saturday. The fair itself recommends public transit and warns of limited parking. A lower evening parking rate is not a reserved space.
Where should you eat before the Horse Show?
Decide whether dinner is part of the event before buying admission. The Royal's 2026 Chef's Table Dining Series bundles dinner with entry to the Horse Show and the fair. It is a different product from the daytime Chef's Table cooking classes. The distinction is made on the official Chef's Table page.
For the afternoon-plus-show plan, put dinner before the 7 p.m. start at Coca-Cola Coliseum. If you leave the fair to eat, get the same-day re-entry stamp before going out.
Eat in CityPlace before setting out, or choose an off-site meal in Liberty Village. These three options are outside the fair. The bands below cover the named food choices before drinks, add-ons, tax and tip.
- Hunters Landing, 82 Fort York Boulevard: CA$21 to CA$25 for a sandwich or selected main. The current menu lists the Landing Burger at CA$22.50, pistachio gnocchi at CA$23 and Landing Carbonara at CA$25. Choose it for a sit-down meal in CityPlace before the walk to Exhibition Place.
- Impact Kitchen, 99 Atlantic Avenue: CA$15.50 to CA$21.99 for a power bowl. Its Toronto menu lists Moroccan Harissa at CA$15.50 and Tuna Poke at CA$21.99; added proteins cost extra. This is the lower starting food budget of the three, useful when you want a bowl rather than a pub dinner in Liberty Village.
- Brazen Head, 165 East Liberty Street: CA$19 to CA$25 for selected sandwiches and pub dishes. The restaurant's linked menu has Brazen's Real Veg Sandwich at CA$19, Fish n' Chips at CA$22 and the Brazen Burger at CA$24. Choose it for a pub meal before returning to Coca-Cola Coliseum; a restaurant stop is not part of fair admission.
Where should you stay for a short Royal visit?
Parade's furnished suites put you in west downtown, east of Exhibition Place, with a walking option from CityPlace. They are not on the fairgrounds. That distinction matters after an afternoon on your feet and an evening in the Coliseum.
Our OpenStreetMap pedestrian calculation starts at the mapped frontage of 15 Iceboat Terrace. It gives about 1.5 km, or 20 minutes, to the mapped Enercare Centre main entrance at 100 Princes' Boulevard, and about 1.9 km, or 25 minutes, to the Exhibition Loop boarding-platform entrance. These are route estimates, not a timed walk from a verified guest door.
The routes head towards Fort York Boulevard. The venue route continues towards Princes' Boulevard; the loop route turns towards Fleet Street and Manitoba Drive. The loop is farther than the Enercare entrance, so “walk to Exhibition” needs an endpoint.
CityPlace suits a short trip that mixes the Royal with downtown time. The trade-off is the outdoor walk: this is not an indoor connection to the fair. The Fort York and Canoe Landing neighbourhood guide covers the surrounding pocket without turning this fair plan into a suite catalogue.

Where does the evening go after the fair?
For our weekday plan, Coca-Cola Coliseum is the evening. The November 10 to 13 performances begin at 7 p.m.; general fair admission alone is not the ticket for those seated sessions. Give the show the evening rather than attaching another timed booking to it.
Afterwards, head back towards Exhibition Loop for the downtown journey. Leave the late evening free of another timed booking.
If your interest is only holiday shopping, we would not book a night for the Royal's Holiday Market alone. Choose this trip for the fair and the horse programme. The market is an addition to that day, not the whole case for travelling.
Before you go to Exhibition Place
- Fair and show: recheck the Royal's visitor information and your session listing before buying. Ticket availability, prices and programmes can change; no last-admission time is published.
- Getting home: check TTC service changes and GO construction updates before travelling, especially for a weekend return. The routes above describe the published plan, not guaranteed November service.
- Walking: the estimates use mapped pedestrian routes checked on October 12, not a field inspection. Allow for crossings, weather, construction, event entrances and stops; they are not a verified step-free route. Map data: OpenStreetMap contributors.
- Access and bags: confirm individual needs with the Royal. Its Access 2 policy gives the support person free general admission when the paying cardholder presents a valid card at a box office and both attend that day; it does not apply to Horse Show tickets. Bags are subject to search. Daytime coat check is in Galleria Hall A, with evening coat check at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
- Dinner: recheck the linked restaurant menus, opening hours and table availability before the trip. These are menu prices checked on October 12, not fixed November offers.
- The room: check the selected Parade listing for its address, layout, current rate and amenities. A photograph of one suite does not establish what another includes.
