Rogers Stadium August 2026: every show, and how to get there and back
By Declan Moss

A real York one-bedroom suite near Union Station. York is not near Rogers Stadium. The trade is one direct Line 1 ride for a downtown base.
Your Rogers Stadium concert ticket is your proof of payment for a free TTC ride home. The City and TTC announcement of 21 May 2026 says free service starts 30 minutes before the show ends. Show the ticket to TTC staff at the main entrance of Downsview Park, Sheppard West or Wilson Station.
Do not assume GO Transit is free too. That was a 2025 offer. For the 2026 shows, GO tells riders to tap PRESTO or pay by debit, credit or mobile wallet.
How does the free TTC ride home work?
Keep the concert ticket open on your phone after the show. At the main entrance to Downsview Park, Sheppard West or Wilson Station, show it to TTC staff as proof of payment. The TTC's Rogers Stadium guide confirms the ride home is free for every ticket holder.
A City and TTC announcement on 21 May 2026 said extra subway service starts 1.5 hours before shows and after 8 p.m. It also named extra buses on routes 84 Sheppard West, 96 Wilson and 106 Sentinel. The TTC rider page separately lists 108 Driftwood as a connecting route.
The same announcement said about 25,000 people used the TTC to and from Rogers Stadium each show night last year. This is why the return plan matters more than shaving a few minutes off the trip north.
How to get to Rogers Stadium by TTC
Three Line 1 stations serve three different approaches. The gate number does not lock you to a station. Rogers Stadium says every ticket holder can use any gate, so choose by walking time.
- Sheppard West: about 10 to 12 minutes to Gate 2, using the pedestrian pathway new for 2026.
- Downsview Park: about 10 to 12 minutes to Gate 1.
- Wilson: about 25 minutes to Gate 3.
Wilson is the long walk, but it has the free shuttle. The shuttle loops continuously before, during and after each concert. Pick-up is on the Upper Bus Platform at Wilson Station's southwest corner, with priority boarding for riders with accessibility needs.
Line 5 Eglinton connects with Line 1 at Cedarvale. Line 6 Finch West connects at Finch West. From downtown, stay on the west branch of Line 1 toward Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.
This is not the same walk as VELD at Downsview Park. VELD uses Festival Terrace at 1-35 Carl Hall Road, reached by walking west on Sheppard Avenue from Downsview Park Station. Rogers Stadium has its own numbered gates on the former airport lands. The National Bank Open route is different again: Line 1 north to Pioneer Village for Sobeys Stadium.
Where is Rogers Stadium?
The venue address is 81 YZD Lane, Toronto, ON M3K 0A1, on the former Downsview Airport lands. Pedestrians enter from Carl Hall Road. Transit directions also use 105 Carl Hall Road for the site because that is the walking approach, not because there are two stadiums.
Rogers Stadium is not Rogers Centre. Rogers Stadium is in Downsview. Rogers Centre is downtown beside Union Station. They sit at opposite ends of the trip, and booking for the wrong one creates an avoidable cross-city commute.
Every show is ticketed. The free part is the TTC ride home included with that concert ticket.
The venue contact is 416.260.4233 and RogersStadiumInfo@livenation.com.
Every Rogers Stadium show from 4 August to 16 September 2026

Queens of the Stone Age and Mannequin Pussy are on the corroborated billing with Foo Fighters on 4 August. No other support act belongs in the plan.
Is GO Transit a useful option?
Yes, with a paid fare. The 2026 GO Transit guide sends Barrie Line riders from Union Station to Downsview Park GO. A walkway connects the GO station to Downsview Park TTC Station.
Pay with PRESTO, debit, credit or a mobile wallet. One Fare makes the TTC transfer free within two hours, but no free GO ride home has been announced for 2026.
The Barrie Line has had repeated weekend closures in 2026, including a full Downsview Park suspension for the Bruno Mars weekend in May. Published closure weekends include 15 to 16 August, 12 to 13 September and 19 to 20 September. As of 31 July, none of the nine Rogers Stadium show dates falls on one of those published closures.
Rogers Stadium parking exists. Skip it anyway.
The old claim that Rogers Stadium has no public parking is wrong for 2026. The venue's 2026 parking guidance says parking is limited and sold in advance through dedicated Ticketmaster links. It sells out. The three choices are:
- Allen Rd Parking: enter at 400 William R. Allen Road while heading south.
- Wilson Ave Parking: enter at 590 Wilson Avenue while heading west.
- Tuscan Gate Parking: an unpaved off-site lot at Sheppard Avenue West and Tuscan Gate, within 1,500 metres of the gates.
The venue also lists York University parking through the HONK app and satellite lots at TTC stations. It publishes no parking price.
Our position is simple: do not drive. The ride home is free on the TTC, while driving puts you in the post-show exit queue. Parking does not suit anyone who wants a predictable exit.
Pack for the bag rule, not for a normal stadium night
The maximum bag is 12 by 6 by 12 inches, or 30 by 15 by 30 centimetres. A clutch under 6 by 9 inches does not need to be clear. From 6 by 9 inches up to the maximum, the bag must be "single compartment and clear on all sides."
The venue's rule is blunt: "BACKPACKS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED." Leave yours in the suite.
The venue is cashless and takes credit, debit or mobile payment. Tickets are mobile only, not printed or emailed. The box office is open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on show days.
Empty reusable plastic bottles, portable battery packs, non-aerosol sunscreen, binoculars and hand fans are allowed. Professional cameras, glass, metal bottles, large umbrellas, selfie sticks and glow sticks are not. Leaving and returning triggers a full re-screen, including the bag.
Children 12 and under need a guardian aged 19 or over. Guest Services pods are at Gates 1 and 3 and Section North 108. The venue lists ground-level access, wheelchair escorts at every gate, the Chu Family Sensory Room and free KultureCity sensory kits. Accessibility questions go to accessibilitycoordinator@livenation.com.
Why 22 August is the hard night
Saturday 22 August puts BTS at Rogers Stadium at 8 p.m., Ed Sheeran at Rogers Centre at 5:30 p.m. and the first weekend of the CNE on the same transit map. Live Nation lists Ed Sheeran at Rogers Centre on 20, 21 and 22 August. The CNE opens on 21 August and runs to 7 September. A BTS guest staying downtown rides north through the Union crowd, then returns toward it after two stadium-scale audiences have moved through opposite ends of Line 1. Add time. Do not add a car.
Where should you stay for a Rogers Stadium concert?
None of StayToronto's buildings is near Rogers Stadium. The honest trade is one long subway ride in exchange for a downtown base that works for the rest of the trip.
York is the simplest StayToronto base. Union Station is steps away, and the west branch of Line 1 runs north with no transfer. It also keeps you in the Financial District and South Core when the concert is not the only reason for the visit.
Atmos works through St Andrew Station. It is the second choice for a trip that also needs the Entertainment District. Jarvis needs a transfer and is the wrong StayToronto pick for this concert.
York does not suit someone whose only priority is sleeping beside the stadium. Stay north instead. For a trip that still includes downtown Toronto, compare StayToronto's furnished suites after choosing the return route.
Where should you eat before the ride north?
Eat downtown before boarding Line 1. The stadium night is easier when dinner is not another queue.
- Evviva, 25 Lower Simcoe Street, $$: a full breakfast or early meal close to York and Union Station.
- PAI Northern Thai Kitchen, 18 Duncan Street, $$: the useful sit-down choice near Atmos and St Andrew.
- Miku Toronto, Unit 105 at 10 Bay Street, $$$$: the reservation meal near York when dinner is part of the trip.
The price bands are relative, not a promise about the final bill. The separate downtown Toronto dining guide carries the current hours and the timing traps.
Where does the night go after the train south?
York brings you back to Union Station and the South Core. Atmos brings you back to St Andrew and King Street West. Harbourfront is the quieter finish. King Street West is the later one.
Walking those areas needs no concert ticket. A club, theatre show or separate event does. The practical advantage is not a guaranteed after-party. It is getting off Line 1 with food, streets and the suite close together.
Before you go
