Ed Sheeran at Rogers Centre, August 2026: getting there and where to stay

Stay in South Core and walk to Rogers Centre. A furnished suite at York, 12 and 14 York Street is our first choice for Ed Sheeran's Toronto dates because you can reach the venue along Bremner Boulevard and walk back after the show without joining the car queue.

The dates are Thursday 20, Friday 21 and Saturday 22 August 2026. Saturday is the one that needs a real plan. Ed Sheeran is at Rogers Centre at 5:30 PM, BTS is at Rogers Stadium at 8 PM, and the Canadian National Exhibition is in its opening weekend.

Where is the Ed Sheeran concert in Toronto?

Ed Sheeran's LOOP Tour is at Rogers Centre, 1 Blue Jays Way. The stadium sits south of Front Street West, west of the CN Tower and along the north side of Bremner Boulevard. This is Rogers Centre downtown, not Rogers Stadium at Downsview.

Live Nation's Rogers Centre schedule and the individual Ticketmaster listings show three ticketed concerts:

• Thursday 20 August 2026, 5:30 PM published show time
• Friday 21 August 2026, 5:30 PM published show time
• Saturday 22 August 2026, 5:30 PM published show time

That is the published event time, not a promise that Ed Sheeran takes the stage at 5:30 PM. All three official listings are ticketed. They do not advertise a free concert programme outside the stadium.

Which Rogers Centre gate should you use?

Use the gate printed on your mobile ticket. Do not pick a gate because it looks closer on a map. Rogers Centre assigns entry by seat location, and walking around the stadium after reaching the wrong side costs time.

The official Rogers Centre concert guide says screenshots of barcodes do not scan. Paper and PDF tickets are not accepted. Add the ticket to your phone wallet before leaving the suite.

Gate 7, on the south side of Rogers Centre along Bremner Boulevard, is the accessible entrance. The venue also says not to queue before noon. Bags are discouraged. The permitted small-bag limit is 7 by 4 by 2 inches, including a clutch, purse or fanny pack.

How do you walk from South Core to Rogers Centre?

From York at 12 or 14 York Street, come out to Bremner Boulevard and walk west. Pass Lower Simcoe Street, the Roundhouse and the CN Tower approach. Then follow the gate number on your ticket. StayToronto's route estimate is roughly 12 minutes before any gate-side detour.

The useful detail is the direction after the encore. York is east of the stadium, on the Union Station side. Walk back along Bremner rather than joining the slow first wave into a car or rideshare.

Coming from elsewhere? Rogers Centre's official directions point riders to Union Station, then west along the south side of Front Street or through the SkyWalk. The 509 Harbourfront streetcar runs between Union and Exhibition, with stops at Rees Street and Lower Spadina Avenue.

One transit note older guides still get wrong. The 510 Spadina streetcar runs through to Union Station again. Regular 510A service to Union was restored on 26 July 2026 after the summer diversion (TTC service adjustments notice). The 509 Harbourfront also runs between Union and Exhibition along the waterfront.

Skip the car. Rogers Centre warns of reduced lanes and road closures around Bremner Boulevard, and says car pickups are not available there. If somebody must collect you, the venue suggests Front Street near Gates 2 and 3, Navy Wharf Court near Gates 10 and 11, or the south side of Bremner across from Steam Whistle near Gates 5 and 6.

Why is Saturday 22 August different?

Toronto has two stadium concerts on the same Saturday. Live Nation lists BTS at Rogers Stadium at 8 PM, while Ed Sheeran's Rogers Centre listing is 5:30 PM. The stadiums are not beside each other. Rogers Centre is downtown. Rogers Stadium is north at Downsview.

The two crowds sit at opposite ends of a Line 1 plan. Add the CNE. Its official 2026 dates run from 21 August to 7 September, with grounds hours from 10 AM to midnight on Saturday 22 August.

This does not prove every train will be full. It does mean the usual one-concert advice is incomplete. Downtown, Downsview and Exhibition Place will each be moving a major event crowd. Where should you stay for Ed Sheeran in Toronto?

Choose York in South Core if the concert is the main event. It puts the suite on the east side of Rogers Centre, close to Union Station and the walk home along Bremner. It also leaves the next morning open for the waterfront or the CN Tower area without moving the car you did not need.

The concert-day plan is simple. Check in under the instructions for your booking, get ready in the furnished suite, then return after the encore without trying to arrange a pickup on Bremner.

The paired reel showed Atmos at 300 Front Street West. That is a real StayToronto furnished suite, and the Rogers Centre view in the supplied footage is real. York does not suit the guest who wants to step straight into King Street nightlife after the encore. Pick the Entertainment District for that. Pick South Core for the calmer, direct walk back and the stronger Union connection.

Where can you eat before the show?

Stay close to the route. All three choices below sit between York, Union and Rogers Centre.

• Steam Whistle Kitchen, 255 Bremner Boulevard. The official menu lists mains from $18.95 to $42.95. It is inside the Roundhouse, directly on the York-to-venue walk.
• The Rec Room Toronto Roundhouse, 255 Bremner Boulevard. Its current summer bundle is $29.99 for an entree, dessert and $15 in game credits. Use it when a group wants food and something to do without leaving the block.
• The Loose Moose, 146 Front Street West. The published food menu puts burgers and larger plates from $21.48 to $29.99. It is useful for a Front Street meet-up before you head south to the assigned gate.

Where does the night go after the concert?

For the shortest exit, it goes back east along Bremner to York. That is the point of staying in South Core. You can be out of the stadium crowd before the Union concourse becomes the default meeting place.

For a later stop, The Rec Room at 255 Bremner Boulevard lists closing at 1 AM on Thursday and 2 AM on Friday and Saturday. Food, drinks and games are separate purchases from the Rogers Centre ticket.

King Street West is the other direction. Walk north into the Entertainment District if bars matter more than a quick return. A Rogers Centre ticket does not include any separately ticketed show or attraction there.

Before you go

• Rogers Centre has not published a concert-specific door time or an official end time. Use the venue's concert guide and the Know Before You Go email, which the venue says is sent at least 24 hours before the show.
• Confirm the gate on the live mobile ticket and recheck the small-bag rules before leaving the suite.
• On the morning of the concert, recheck TTC service alerts and the Rogers Centre guide for transit or street changes.
• Restaurant prices, hours and reservation availability were checked on 6 August 2026. Verify them for your concert date.
